Recovery without goals is survival. Recovery with goals is building a life worth living.

When to start

Basic goals immediately (attend meetings, take medication, sleep schedule). Larger goals after 3-6 months of stability. Career and relationship goals as recovery solidifies.

SMART goals for recovery

Specific: I will attend 3 meetings per week. Measurable: I will save $200 per month. Achievable: I will complete one online course this quarter. Relevant: aligned with your values. Time-bound: deadline for accountability.
