Active addiction consumed enormous amounts of time: obtaining, using, recovering. Sobriety creates a vacuum that needs intentional filling.

Structure

Morning routine (exercise, meditation, healthy breakfast). Recovery activity (meeting, therapy, step work). Productive activity (work, education, volunteering). Evening routine (dinner, connection, relaxation, sleep). The key is not filling every minute but having enough structure to prevent dangerous idle time.
