Strategies

Set firm limits before going out. Alternate with water. Eat beforehand. Avoid shots and drinking games. Leave when you hit your limit. Track actual consumption.

When moderation fails

If you consistently exceed planned limits, binge drinking may be AUD. Naltrexone can reduce the urge to keep drinking once you start.
