For treatment centers
Treatment center photography: Images that build trust and drive calls
Real photos of your facility outperform stock images by 3-5x in conversion testing. Families can tell the difference, and stock photos actively damage trust.
Photos every treatment center needs
Exterior building and entrance (first impression). Patient rooms from multiple angles. Common areas with natural light. Group therapy room (empty, set up). Outdoor spaces and grounds. Kitchen and dining area. Fitness or recreation areas. Staff headshots (professional, warm, approachable). The local area and surroundings.
Photography tips for non-photographers
Shoot during golden hour (early morning or late afternoon) for warm light. Clean and stage every space before shooting. Remove clutter, personal items, and anything clinical-looking. Shoot at eye level, not from above. Include some wide shots and some detail shots. Natural light always beats fluorescent. Smartphone cameras are excellent when lighting is good.
What to avoid
Never photograph patients (even from behind, even with consent for marketing). No clinical equipment prominently visible. No messy or cluttered spaces. No dark, institutional-looking rooms. No stock photos mixed with real ones (inconsistency destroys trust). No photos that could identify patient records, medications, or personal information.
Where to use them
Website (every page). Google Business Profile (upload 20+ photos). Directory listings. Social media. Print materials. Admissions packets. Your Treatment Association profile supports enhanced photos for verified members.
