Coverage

Medical detox. Residential treatment (with prior authorization). PHP and IOP. Outpatient therapy. MAT medications. Psychiatric services.

Active duty specifics

Active duty members access treatment through military treatment facilities or authorized civilian providers. Substance abuse treatment is confidential under most circumstances. The goal is readiness, not punishment.

Dependents and retirees

Same coverage as active duty through TRICARE network providers. Prior authorization required for residential. Copays may apply depending on TRICARE plan type.
