How long does LSD stay in your system?

LSD is active at microgram doses, making detection challenging. Standard drug panels do NOT test for LSD.

Detection

Urine: 2-4 days with specialized testing. Blood: 6-12 hours. Hair: up to 90 days (rarely tested). Standard 5, 10, and 12-panel tests do not include LSD. Specialized immunoassay or LC/MS testing is required.

Why detection is difficult

LSD is active at doses of 50-150 micrograms, far below detection thresholds of most tests. It is rapidly metabolized to inactive compounds. Specialized testing is expensive and rarely ordered.

Practical reality

LSD is almost never tested for in workplace, treatment, or legal settings. Standard drug panels will not detect it.

Frequently asked questions

Does LSD show on a drug test?
Not on standard panels. Specialized testing exists but is rarely ordered due to cost and the extremely low doses involved.
How long does LSD stay in urine?
2-4 days with specialized testing that is almost never used in standard screening.
Is LSD addictive?
LSD does not produce physical dependence. Tolerance develops rapidly (within 3-4 days) preventing daily use.
